FAQs

Below are a few of our most frequently asked questions. If your question is not here, just ask us…

What First Aid Course is best for us?

This depends on the level of risk at your workplace, including the size of your workforce and should also include numbers of visitors present at any one time. The relevant legislation regarding first aid requirements in the workplace is the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Please find the link below and see appendix 3 for further details.

Are your courses fully accredited?

Yes, most of our First Aid courses are accredited via our Awarding Body, Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) an OFQUAL regulated Awarding Organisation. Accredited Courses are indicated with QCF or RQF at the end of the course title.

Can you deliver First Aid training at our workplace?

Absolutely! We are happy to provide an in house First Aid Course at your premises at a date and time to suit your requirements. All we ask is for you to provide the space for the course to seat 12 learners comfortably and enough room for practical floor work.

How many people can be trained at one time?

We have a maximum of 12 people on our first aid courses. Please note that we are able to accommodate additional trainers if you would prefer everyone to be trained on the same day.

How long do the courses take?

Course timings can be found on each individual first aid course page.

How are learners assessed?

Our first aid courses are continuously assessed throughout the course by a practical and a theoretical assessment.

Do you offer First Aid Courses for Individuals or smaller groups?

Yes, we offer regular Open Courses in High Wycombe and Marlow for Individuals or smaller groups. Please refer to the Individual Course Pages to see available dates, times, location and costs. If your preferred date is not available, it’s still worth getting in touch with us as we may still be able to help you.

What do learners need to wear for the First Aid Courses?

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing as you will be expected to carry out practical elements of the course.

Do learners get a certificate/qualification?

Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a certificate for the accredited first aid courses which lasts for up to 3 years. Certificates are sent to the client within 10 – 14 days of successful completion of the course.
