Possible Compulsory First Aid Training for All Nursery Staff‏ in 2016

We hope you’re well. Welcome to our blog!

As you may already be aware, there is possible legislation coming into effect next year (2016) that would make paediatric first aid training compulsory for all nursery staff.

The press release from March 2015 on gov.uk makes interesting reading: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/first-aid-training-to-be-made-compulsory-for-new-nursery-recruits

Personally we think this legislation would make sense. The tragic case of Millie T highlights the importance of having adequate first aid cover in place only too well. Our children deserve the best care in their nursery environment.

We’d like to hear what you think about this. Please feel free to drop us an email or tweet us your thoughts. If this legislation did come into effect, how would it impact your nursery?
